Key Races
U.S. SENATE
John Tester is the incumbent and is running unopposed. He will face the winner of the Republican primary. Ballotpedia has a short summary of Tester’s recent public battle with President Trump.
U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Five Democrats are running in the primary for Montana’s one U.S. House seat. See the candidates here. The winner will go against Greg Gianforte (R) who won the seat in a controversial special election in 2017.
STATE SENATE
25 of the 50 seats in the Senate are up for re-election this year. Democrats need to flip 8 seats to retake the Senate. A list of the districts with re-elections and the candidates running for those seats can be found here.
STATE HOUSE
All 100 seats in the House are up for re-election this year. Democrats need to flip 10 seats to retake the House. A list of the candidates running for the House can be found here.
