Every week there are good news stories that fly under the radar. I do what I can to bring them back up to the light! Here are the ones that I wanted to make sure you saw!


Madison Cawthorn lost his primary which means he won’t be a Congressman after this year. (Ok, you probably knew about this already, but you don’t mind celebrating again, right?)


Biden reopened the U.S. embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine.


The Senate confirmed a new U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine — Bridget Brink.


Biden invoked the Defense Production Act to increase production of baby formula and to start a new program that will use commercial aircraft to pick up overseas formula that meets U.S. standards.


Once the final candidates were nominated for the Pennsylvania governor’s race — Josh Shapiro (D) vs. Doug Mastriano (R) — two major ratings agencies upgraded the race rating from Toss Up to Leans Democratic.


A judge in Michigan granted Planned Parenthood of Michigan an injunction that would stop the enforcement of Michigan’s 1931 abortion ban, should the Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade.


The Republican-controlled Arizona State Senate voted to conduct an ethics investigation into state Senator Wendy Rogers. Rogers had suggested on social media that the Buffalo massacre was a “false flag,” echoing white nationalist talking points.


Sweden and Finland have both formally applied to join NATO.


Illinois became the first state in the Midwest to pass legislation banning untraceable “ghost guns.”


U.S. Soccer has agreed to separative collective bargaining agreements with its men’s and women’s national teams that will guarantee equal pay for players on both sides.


The House passed the MST (Military Sexual Trauma) Claims Coordination Act to better assist survivors of military sexual assault and harassment access medical care and mental health services.
