For all of us who love editorial cartoons, we can thank Larry Flynt for protecting them. As horrid as the man was in pretty much every other way, he was a First Amendment evangelist and helped solidify what that right meant. I highly recommend Clay Jones’ essay that accompanied this cartoon. Be sure to read the part where Flynt sued Jerry Falwell and ended up taking the case to the Supreme Court.
