Didn’t we just finish a big election? Why, yes, yes we did. But if its a Tuesday, there’s a better chance than not that there is an election happening somewhere in the country.
We all know that voter turnout drops sharply if it’s not a presidential election, but did you know that historically, the Democrats’ turnout drops MORE than Republicans? With the exception of the 2018 midterms, that has largely been true. If I could wave my magic wand, I’d fix that in an instant. But because I don’t have one, I’ll use this blog instead.
Click on highlighted text to learn the specifics about that election. You can also always go directly to your state’s election website (lookup HERE) to learn more.
December 15 (Tu)
Alabama State Senate District 26
This is a Democratic primary runoff election to determine who will advance to the general election in March.
December 19 (Sat)
Texas State Senate District 30
This is a runoff election featuring the top-two vote getters, which in this case are both Republicans.
