As always, our friend TokyoSand has found the best of the best political cartoons this week. Some will bring a smile, others a growl, but they sum up the state of our nation with few or no words … such talent! Thanks again, TS!
I thought about adding that to the Other News section. I do leave out some good cartoons that I think leave out too much context. It’s also why I don’t often include state-specific cartoons.
Please accept my sincere apologies for the inexcusable negligence of not thanking you for this marvelous collection of The Week’s Best Cartoons. Having watched the entire DNC virtual conference, I find that the Matt Wuerker cartoon in Politco depicts it perfectly. The many great cartoons about the USPS are increasingly significant to me today. I attempted to watch the live video this morning of the House Committee of Oversight and Reform hearing led by Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney into Postmaster Louis DeJoy and Chairman Robert Duncan of the Postal Service Board of Governors recent actions…but never got past the Republicans and Democrats disagreements about the how and why it was being done! Instead I decided to read about it later. But, I digress. This comment is about thanking you for your tireless and appreciated work in finding and sharing humor where it is in short supply. Thank-YOU!!
The couple hugging their child is very touching.
That was nice, wasn’t it? It’s a rare pleasure to have a sweet cartoon these days.
The kid got covid from school so has to quit going to school, are you being sarcastic too?
That’s not how I interpret that cartoon at all.
A good selection, as always. My favourite is the Christopher Weyant!
Thanks for letting me know your favorite. Yeah, it’s nice to have hope and optimism again, isn’t it?
It is.

You can’t see this, and I can’t paste a photo in the comments here, but I have a hand on my heart and a smile on my face. Thank you, Ellen.
