Today, I want to take a quick moment to thank you.
Thank you for reading Political Charge and for coming along with me as we work to mitigate the harmful policies of the Republican party, and ensure that we elect far more compassionate, competent, and democratic politicians across the nation.
I was looking over my stats and noticed that yesterday’s post was my 800th post. I know I’ve been writing this blog since 2018, but that number seemed like A LOT. And to be perfectly honest, I am here because of you.
I love it when I hear from readers who tell me that they’ve signed up with an organization that’s doing outreach to voters — I got a handful of those earlier this week! I love it when a longtime reader asks me if I can help them find resources to share with a friend who has recently decided they want to get politically active. And I love it when a reader alerts me to a new organization doing great work, or a point of view that I hadn’t considered.
I’m grateful to be locked arm-in-arm with you all as we’ve weathered this terrible administration together. I am grateful to be able to make a connection between the upsetting news we get every week and what we can do about it. I am grateful that you find my posts helpful and useful.
I will keep writing. And I hope you will continue to talk to me and let me know what’s going on in your lives of political activism.

Congratulations!!! Your dedication keeps me inspired!
Thank you so much, Lainey. A comment you wrote to me a long time ago (maybe a year ago) inspires me to keep going. I keep it close by. 😘
I’ve probably said before that your weekly political cartoon round-up is my favorite part of your column. I need to laugh more, and you help me do that!!!
Thanks for letting me know, Marsha. I have no trouble hearing things like this more than once!! (Ok, now back to editing tomorrow’s cartoon post…)
