This week, the news was once again dominated by the coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic. Here’s how some of the best editorial cartoonists covered it. (Fair warning: Some of these are heartwarming; others are brutal.) Let me know in the replies which one grabs you the most.

  1. Sigh. Luckovich does a great job as always. The ‘toons these days are just getting too sad, though. I wish the cartoonists would leave off and find other topics, though I must admit that some of these are brilliant and will be part of the annals of history of this era.

    • Although you are right that a majority of the cartoons make people mad/sad, as the pandemic wears on, I’m seeing more positive ones. Like the cartoons expressing gratitude for those on the front lines. It is hard to find positivity in such times. Are you doing ok?

      • Yeah, there are more positive ones … I just … have trouble finding any humour these days. I’m okay … just coming out of that dark rabbit hole I spent a few days in, but I’m bouncing back, I think. And you? Hugs, my friend.

      • Doing ok. Managing the stress of two kids who realize just how much they miss school.

      • Oh, I do NOT envy you!!! I remember back in the day when mine were that age, and one year it snowed so much that they didn’t return to school from Christmas break until mid-February. I nearly went crazy!!! Hang in!
