There’s a Lot Happening Today

We’re all pretty used to a fast-paced news cycle, but today will really kick it up a notch.

Impeachment Hearings

Here’s who is testifying today:

Gordon Sondland, US ambassador to the European Union
Laura Cooper, Pentagon official (her closed-door testimony was stormed by Matt Gaetz and 30 more Republicans)
David Hale, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs (3rd ranking official in State Department)

All eyes will be on Gordon Sondland. He’s extremely problematic for Trump and the Republicans as he is a firsthand witness who knows what Trump was asking for. I wonder if he doesn’t just take the Fifth tomorrow. Here’s a quick refresh on who he is:

One Last Note

I saw this tweet yesterday from Senator Chris Murphy, and not only does it synthesize the two points I’m making in today’s post, but it offers wisdom I know to be true. Which is that while it is important to stay current and be in the know, nothing can move our country forward like taking action.
