Texas: Are You Registered for the November Election?

texas.jpg

An “off-year” election isn’t any less important than any other election. I hope that the last few years has opened all of our eyes to how important every single seat is.

Texas has an important election coming up on November 5 this year. And critically, the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming elections in Texas next month is Monday, October 7, 2019.

Will you help me spread the word?

The Entire State

The entire state will be voting on 10 constitutional amendments. You can find short summaries of the 10 amendments HERE.

Local Districts

There are also 3 special elections to fill vacant seats in the Texas state House. Districts 28, 100, and 148 will be electing new representatives. You can find maps of the districts and a list of the nominees HERE.

In additional to the special elections, local districts will be having school board elections, seats in their municipal governments, and a few districts have recalls and local ballot measures.

You can get a customized look at your specific ballot by entering your address at Vote411.

Check Your Registration

You can check to see if your registration status is active HERE.

If you find that your registration isn’t active, or you’ve moved since the last election, you’ll need to register again. Note that you can’t register online in Texas. Fill out the application and turn it in to your local county’s registration office.

Thank you for your help in spreading the word!
