I Just Can’t

Today, my dear readers, you find me without many words.

I’m not speechless, exactly, but I don’t have much to say in this moment. The President of the United States last night admitted on television that of course he’d look at anything a foreign government offered him on his opponent.

We’ve been fighting about this since 2016. During the campaign, in endless articles and tweets, in Congress and the Mueller Report. Trump and his cronies have all been covering up the truth since the beginning. And then he just blurts out that of course, if it helps him win a presidential election, he’d take whatever information a foreign actor would give him. Here’s the clip:

It’s the 2020 campaign version of his famous “Russia, if you’re listening” moment. He is inviting foreign actors to interfere with our election. And he’s got McConnell in the Senate refusing to hear any of the bipartisan bills on election security.
