This piece by Cook Political Report looks at all of the conventional wisdom we can draw on about this race, and in nearly every case, points out reasons why that wisdom might not hold true next year. Now that we’re only a few days away from Tax Day, we have a lot of information about what the real effect of the GOP’s unpopular tax bill is. New York Magazine details what we now know, how opinion surveys are bearing out, and the effect it is having, and will have, on the economy.
Brookings has this fascinating look at an experiment that brought together voter registration drives with tax filing assistance sites for lower-income households. The result is very encouraging.
