A Sneak Peek

Whatcha doing?

Are you already annoyed by how the media is covering the Democratic candidates for the 2020 presidential election? I sure am.

After the dreadful coverage in 2016, when the media fixated on non-substantial issues and covered the various presidential candidates wildly differently, we all hoped that perhaps they had learned some lessons. But alas, what these last couple of weeks has shown is that they have not.

Wouldn’t you rather know what the candidates’ stances are on key issues like healthcare or climate change or economic inequality? Me too!

So, I’ve gathered a group of great volunteers to help produce candidate guides that do just that. Each Democratic candidate will have a guide where we present what they’ve said (and done) about 7 key issues. The issues will be the same across all of the candidates and are the issues that midterm voters identified as the most important in big national surveys.

I plan to publish the first guide this week and will continue to publish the guides throughout the next several weeks. I hope you will find them to be helpful and will share them widely to counteract the truly terrible takes that are currently circulating.

Stay tuned!

  1. This is wonderful and will be greatly appreciated. And yes we need to know their platforms and what they’ve done. Personality and speaking ability hold a lot of weight though, even if not warranted. Also I think people are looking to see who can stand up best to trump’s onslaught of bullying and lies he will spread.

    • I figure that these guides are part of what each voter needs to figure out which candidates they want to vote for. And my sincere hope is that voters will be willing to vote for a great many of them!
