It ain’t over ’til it’s over. We have two confirmed races from the midterms that are going to a runoff election and they are both really important.
Mississippi – U.S. Senate Runoff – Nov. 27
Since none of the candidates for the U.S. Senate received 50% of the vote on Election Day, the top two finishers move on to a runoff. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R), who was appointed to the Senate seat when Thad Cochran resigned, faces former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Espy (D). There’s only a touch over 2 weeks to mobilize Democrats to vote for Espy again. Please consider helping.

Georgia – Secretary of State Runoff – Dec. 4
Is there another state that needs a Democratic Secretary of State to oversee voting and elections more than Georgia? (Well, maybe Kansas, and Florida, and … never mind.) Georgia is high on the list of places that need a complete overhaul of how they engage voters with elections. Former Congressman John Barrow (D) is facing Brad Raffensperger (R) and here’s how we can help.

Readers, if you hear of other ways we can help these two Democrats win their runoffs in a few short weeks, please let me know in the comments and I’ll update the post. Thank you!

Apologies. Cindy Hyde-Smith is a Republican. I fixed the post.
I’m hung up on neutral postcards. Would a FunFact series on America or Animals be OK, or are you recommending blank white postcards to start with?
I recommend you get in touch directly with the Postcards group. They have guidelines for you to follow, and can answer your questions.
Postcards group. Guess I will look for them then.
The link is in the post, but here it is for easy reference: https://postcardstovoters.org/2018/11/09/espy/
Postcards to Voters is now also writing postcards for Barrow. Postcard writers use a wide variety of cards. I like the “Be A Voter” postcards. You can order them from Amazon. Some of the money goes to Postcards to Voters.
Delighted to hear that they’ve added Barrow’s runoff!
