We knew that if Michelle Obama was going to get involved with midterms, she was going to do it in her own way.
She has launched When We All Vote, a 50-state effort aimed at getting people registered to vote. They are approaching their goal in three ways:
✦ training volunteers
✦ improving voter registration processes
✦ increasing awareness of the voting process
At their website, you can sign up to get involved with the effort. They are also planning a highly visible Week of Action in September. Kudos to them for including a couple of great resources about voter registration (dos and don’ts) right up front.
Here’s the terrific, and fun, video they produced to announce the effort:
We need all the help we can get to register voters and invite them to turn out to vote. I for one am grateful for the former First Lady’s help!
