Missouri has its statewide primary election on Tuesday, August 7. If you’re a voter in Missouri, all the resources you need to vote are listed here; if you’re not in the state, consider sharing this post with friends or on social media to increase awareness and turnout!

Despite being the incumbent, Democrat Claire McCaskill’s race is considered a Toss-Up in this red state. The Republicans are spending heavily to flip this seat. To have any hope of flipping the Senate, the Democrats must hold this seat.

STATE SUPREME COURT
From Ballotpedia: “The terms of two Missouri Supreme Court judges will expire on December 31, 2018. Judge Mary Rhodes Russell was appointed to the court in 2004 by Democratic Governor Bob Holden. She was retained for a full 12-year term in 2006. Judge Wesley Brent Powell was appointed to the court in 2017 by Republican Governor Eric Greitens. He must stand for retention in order to serve a full 12-year term.”
STATE SENATE
17 of the 34 seats in the Senate are up for re-election this year. Democrats need to flip 3 seats to break the Republican supermajority. A list of the districts with re-elections and the candidates running for those seats can be found here.
STATE HOUSE
All 163 seats in the House are up for re-election this year. Democrats need to flip 9 seats to break the Republican supermajority. A list of the candidates running for the House can be found here.
