Every day, there are policies coming out of the White House that we dislike (or are abhorrent) that we must push back on. At the same time, if we don’t kick a lot of Republicans out of their seats in November, all of this can only get worse. With that, I must get back to my state-by-state election series.
Maryland has its statewide primary election on Tuesday, June 26. Here you’ll find resources for voters, a quick overview of politics in the state, plus a few key races with the names and websites for Democratic candidates. Use this information to make your own voting plan and/or share with friends in the state!

The sitting governor, Larry Hogan (R), is seeking another term. The Democrats have a large field of candidates running in the primary; Baker and Jealous have been polling the highest. The Democratic candidates are:

U.S. SENATE

U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Cook Political Report has not listed any of the 8 House races competitive. The Democrats currently have 7 seats, while the Republicans have 1. The full list of races and candidates can be seen here.
STATE SENATE
All 47 seats in the Senate are up for re-election this year. The Republicans can break the Democrats’ veto-proof majority if they flip 5 seats. A list of the districts with re-elections and the candidates running for those seats can be found here.
STATE HOUSE
All 141 seats in the House are up for re-election this year. The Republicans can break the Democrats’ veto-proof majority if they flip 7 seats. A list of the candidates running for the House can be found here.
