Alabama Politics Quick Facts
– No Senators are up for re-election in 2018
– All 7 House Representatives are up for re-election
– Voted +28 for Trump in 2016
– Partisan breakdown of the state legislature:
Governor (R)
State Senate 26 (R) – 7 (D) – 1 (I) plus one vacant seat
State House 70 (R) – 32 (D)  plus three vacant seats

GOVERNOR
The sitting governor, Kay Ivey, is running for re-election. The candidates in the Democratic primary are:

ATTORNEY GENERAL
The current attorney general, who is running in the primary, was appointed by Governor Robert Bentley (who shortly thereafter resigned) after Luther Strange was appointed to Congress (until he lost the special election primary to Roy Moore.) The Democratic candidates are:

STATE SUPREME COURT 
Five of the state Supreme Court justices must stand for election in November. Importantly, that includes the Chief Justice position. The Democratic candidate is:

STATE SENATE
All 35 seats in the Senate are up for re-election this year. Democrats would need to flip  10 seats to win control. A list of the districts with re-elections and the candidates running for those seats can be found here.

STATE HOUSE
All 105 seats in the House are up for re-election this year. Democrats need to flip 10 seats to break the Republican supermajority in the House. A list of the candidates running for the House can be found here.
